Distinguished
Young Women of
Kentucky
is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholastics, leadership and talent in young women. Earn scholarships for higher education, personally develop through the DYW Life Skills Workshops, and make new friends from around the state.
To participate in Kentucky, you must first participate in a local program or the Kentucky At-Large program. Now accepting applications for the Class of 2027 and later.
Our Class of 2027 local programs have started and will continue through September 2026. Our At-Large programs will also be held in September at a date and location to be determined soon. Our state week for participants will be January 10-16, 2027 in Lexington, KY.

Location: University of Kentucky's Singletary Center for the Arts, Lexington
Dates: Preliminaries - January 15, 2027 at 7pm & January 16, 2027 at 11am; Finals - January 16, 2027 at 7pm
Tickets: Will go on sale in November 2026; price TBD
Local Programs
The local programs in Kentucky are currently working with their 2027 program year. If you will graduate in 2027 or later, please click on the county where you live to email the local committee for more information about participation.
