Distinguished
Young Women of
Bakersfield

is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholastics, leadership and talent in young women. Earn scholarships for higher education, personally develop through the DYW Life Skills Workshops, and make new friends from around the state.

You must reside in Bakersfield ​to be eligible to participate in the Bakersfield Local Program. Students who attend high school but live outside of Bakersfield must participate in the California At-Large program.

​

Applications for the Class of 2027 have closed. Now accepting applications for the Class of 2028 and later.
