is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholastics, leadership and talent in young women. Earn scholarships for higher education, personally develop through the DYW Life Skills Workshops, and make new friends from around the state.

Life-Changing Experience

College scholarships are awarded at the state level and millions in college-granted scholarships are available nationally. The state representative will advance to the national program for the opportunity to compete for cash tuition scholarships. To participate, you must be in your junior of high school. Participants are evaluated in the areas of: scholastics, interview, talent, self-expression, and fitness.

Recipient of the Bakersfield Mayor's Medal of Honor, recognizing extraordinary achievements and leadership, 2023.3. Top 12 for Senior Contemporary Ballet with a self-choreographed piece at the Youth America Grand Prix in San Diego, March 7-10, 2024.4. Top 24 for Senior Contemporary Ballet with a self-choreographed piece at the Youth America Grand Prix in San Diego, March 2-5, 2023.5. Top 6 for Classical Ballet Pas de Deux at the Youth America Grand Prix in Los Angeles, January 20-23, 2022.6. Recipient of the Pacific Northwest Ballet School Scholarship, honored with full scholarship and residency in Washington in 2021 and 2022 for their 5-week summer course.7. Recipient of the School of American Ballet Scholarship, honored with full scholarship and residency in New York in 2021 for their 5-week summer training program.8. Inductee of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts 2021.9. 2nd place in the Junior Contemporary category at the International Dance Talent Competition in Italy, May 13-16, 2021.10. Kern Dance Alliance Scholarship for academic excellence and leadership in July 2020.

Activites:
1. Founder and CEO of Women in STEM Education also known as W.I.S.E., a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization empowering young women in STEM via workshops, scholarships, and webinars. Secured a 10,000-dollar grant to enhance middle and high school STEM education programs.2. Board Member with Kern Dance Alliance, Bakersfield, CA, created an event named Taste of Dance, presenting 5 various cultural dances. Celebrated Kern County's cultural diversity with over 550 attendees during Global Diversity Awareness month.3. Student Intern in the Computer Science Department at California State University, Bakersfield, CA, 2021-2024. Developed a code to distinguish Valley Fever from Lung Cancer using CT scans, resulting in a publication in the Journal of Emerging Investigators.4. Research Associate at The Valley Fever Institute, Kern Medical Center, Bakersfield, CA, 2022-2024. Drafting an R21 grant proposal for 200,000 dollars in annual funding from the National Institutes of Health to implement the code distinguishing Valley Fever from Lung Cancer using CT scans in healthcare settings.5. Jim Burke Education Foundation Ford Dream Builder Student Leader and member of the Ford Dimension Class of 2024 in Bakersfield, CA. Organized a statewide service project named Creating Healthy Eating Fundamentals for Change, C.H.E.F.s for Change, in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Kern County. Taught low-income children to cook nutritious meals using chemistry carts converted to kitchens.6. Principal Dancer with Bakersfield City Ballet - performed lead roles in annual performances, curbside ballets during the pandemic, and the Mayor's Ball.7. One of the California representatives for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization International Dance Council, UNESCO CID, where I attend meetings to discuss global dance development.8. Stockdale High School French Club President in 2023-2024, and Secretary in 2022-2023. Initiated the first annual Basque dance for Stockdale's yearly cultural rally.9. Stockdale High School National Honor Society Senior Honorary Officer, 2023-2024, and Junior Honorary Officer, 2022-2023. Led multiple community service events supporting cancer initiatives, seniors, and small businesses in our community.10. Mu Alpha Theta Member, Stockdale High School Math Honor Society. Tutored underclassmen in preparation for exams or math competitions.

1. Children's Dance Education and Outreach event, 2018-2023, a Kern Dance Alliance event aimed to provide children with a comprehensive dance experience, including live dance performances, dance classes with choreography instruction, and the opportunity to showcase their skills on stage.2. Dancing with the Angels, 2022, a collaborative program between Kern Dance Alliance and the Bakersfield Angels, dedicated to using the arts to connect and uplift the foster care community through movement, music, and visual art. 3. Adventist Health Bakersfield, 2021, assisting nurses in the newborn unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. 4. Books in Motion, from 2018-2021, a Kern Dance Alliance program for children in the early literacy stages (K-3rd grade), designed to stimulate their imagination and foster a love for reading.5. ADAPTIdance program, from 2017-2021, a Kern Dance Alliance program in collaboration with the League of Dreams, a nonprofit adaptive sports league. This program is Kern County's only curriculum-based adaptive dance program, serving individuals with disabilities between the ages of 5 and 22.
